SOPHIA COLLEGE ENGLISH DRAMATICS ASSOCIATION
Club SCEDA is Sophia college’s English drama society. It is responsible for all things
entertainment and drama. From conducting workshops with experienced theatre
professionals to giving a safe space for students to perform, SCEDA has done it all. We
are here for anyone interested in drama, acting, writing, or theatre-related skills. SCEDA
helps students break out of their comfort zones and bring out the thespian.
So far this year, we have conducted a play during the peace week that shed light on the
themes of freedom and independence where we explored the works of our own
homegrown Indie playwright and a very enriching Improv workshop with Alistar Bennis
to help everyone step out of their comfort zone and move to express themselves freely
along with a Shakespearean edition of the monthly monologue circle.
