EXSP

Coordinator: Dr P Sirisha Murthy

The EXSP programme is open to all BSc and BSc-IT students. The programme includes a wide range of events and subjects so as to ensure the development of scientific attitudes and skills. The emphasis is on motivation, creativity and independent thought.

The first part of the programme includes a creative aspect, i.e., writing an article, organizing a seminar or paper presentation. This leads progressively to more complex assignments, e.g. an extensive literature survey or minor research project.

To inculcate a sense of social purpose, students are encouraged to participate actively in outreach projects such as the NSS Municipal School Project. Various combinations of credits are also permitted, provided all the aspects of the programme are covered.

All Senior College students are required to participate in this process of ‘quality testing’. Your feedback about the college, its infrastructure, amenities, programmes of study, course content, faculty, evaluation, teacher-pupil relations and so on, are vital for the growth of Sophia College (autonomous) as an educational institution.
